As part of your nomination, if running for a sabbatical officer position, you will need to meet with a member of our senior management team, who will give you more insight into the elections process and the SU. Details on booking this will be emailed to you once you’ve submitted your nomination.

You can also reach out at any point during the elections process to Laura Black, the Student Voice Manager, who can answer questions and help you navigate the elections.

wellbeing

You can reach out to a staff member at the SU at any point during the elections period. For School Reps, our Academic Communities Coordinator is on hand to provide support. For Community Officers, you can reach out to our Representation and Democracy Coordinator and for our Sabbatical Officers, our Student Voice Manager will be available to support you.

We will deliver a candidate wellbeing session to give you some tips and tricks on looking after yourself during the election period.

During voting, there will be breakfast available for each of the candidates in the morning and a check-in hour at the end of the day.

At the end of voting, you’ll receive your own wellbeing goody bag, to look after yourself before results night.
