It wouldn't be Royal Holloway if we weren't kicking off the year in style with a huge range of events - from petting zoos to picnics to massive nights out, we've worked hard all summer to make sure you have the best Freshers ever.
So, what's the plan?
You've got your place at university, now it's time to get ready for the start of your Royal Holloway journey. The wait is nearly over to find out about our incredible Freshers' Festival programme. This Thursday 24 August, we'll be dropping our line-up of over 40 epic events as well as wristband packages that guarantee your entry to the biggest club nights in Egham and beyond.

What's the deal?
Our Silver wristband package (£50) gets you fast-track entry to seven nights of non-stop parties at the Union Venue (details coming on Thursday!) To step up your Freshers' Festival experience, grab a Gold wristband (£75) for everything in the Silver package + your ticket to Freshers’ Ball (Sat 23 Sep) - an incredible end to your first week at uni.
How do I buy a wristband?
If you're joining Royal Holloway in September, you may not have access to your University email address in time for the drop on Thursday but don't despair! While you're waiting for your login details from the University, you'll be able to create a guest account to purchase your wristband.
Going forward, you'll use your University IT account details to login to our website.
The timeline
Wristbands will go on sale in two phases:
- First-year (including foundation) students: Thursday 24 August (1pm)
- General sale: Monday 4 September (10am)
Individual event tickets are on sale from 10am on Monday 11 September.
Meet and Mingle
Across Freshers’ Festival, we’ll also be hosting daily mixers, picnics, and socials specifically to help you meet other students and make friends! While you could meet your new best friend at any of our events, Meet and Mingle will bring together students from all walks of life in a relaxing environment. You’ll also have the chance to speak to your coursemates in an informal setting, and our 2023/24 Sabbatical Officer team, who can’t wait to meet you!
Entertainment and activities to keep conversations flowing, refreshing food and drinks plus a friendly game or two will all be provided so that you have everything you need to meet and mingle with your Royal Holloway community. Check out the events calendar from Thursday to see what's happening!
