This academic year, we have been working on creating a brand-new strategy to set our direction over the next few years. It's important to us that our strategy is designed and signed off by students because our core aim is to make student life better at Royal Holloway.
As part of our initial research to build our next strategy, the results showed us that the Black and Global Majority student community at Royal Holloway did not feel positively about the SU. We recognise that we need to do more to engage with this community and to be better in how we represent our students.
As a result, we are hosting a focus group from 14:00-15:00 on 8 May with students who identify with this community to make sure our new strategy is reflective of our whole student body and that the work we hope to achieve enables us to effectively represent Black and Global Majority students.
