This year, we’ve made some changes to give as many students as possible access to discounted tickets. So, before we release the golden tickets, let us give you the lowdown on what to expect once they go on sale.
It’s almost time for the moment you’ve all been waiting for – in less than 48 hours, Summer Ball tickets will officially be on sale!
Haven’t been to Summer Ball before? Let us tell you all about it. Set in the beautiful surroundings of Founder’s Building, it’s the biggest event in the Royal Holloway calendar. With fairground rides, street food, incredible headline acts, and entertainment, it’s your chance to make some incredible memories before signing off for the summer.
We know you’ve been eagerly awaiting the chance to secure your place at the biggest party of the year, and now the time has come. This year, we’ve made some changes to give as many students as possible access to discounted tickets. So, let us give you the lowdown on what to expect once they go on sale.
Set your alarms for 12pm (midday) on Friday 28 April when Phase 1 is set to commence…
Phase 1.
Each hour from 12pm (midday), we'll be dropping another round of tickets. Starting at £45, then £55, then £65 until finally General Sale tickets for £75 (on sale until midnight on Friday 28 April).
Buying on launch day is the only way to bag the full festival experience including Survivors' Breakfast and early access to fairground rides, in addition to a welcome drink and the highest chance of winning your money back through our lucky dip.
We're anticipating tickets to fly out the door so make sure you grab them quickly before they sell out!
What happens next?
Securing Your Ticket
After Phase 1 ends on Friday 28 April, there will be a weekly ticket drop every Friday until 19 May.
So, if you miss out on tickets from our initial launch, don't worry, we'll be dropping another 1000 General Sale tickets for you to pop straight into your basket on Friday 5 May - and roughly another 1000 the week after!
As we mentioned, purchasing your ticket during Phase 1 (12:00-23:59 on Friday 28 April) and Phase 2 (12:00 on Friday 5 May – 23:59 on Thursday 11 May) gives you access to exclusive perks.
Plus, the earlier you buy your General Sale ticket, the more chances you’ll have to win back the money you’ve paid!
What can I expect from Summer Ball?
Wondering who your Summer Ball headliner is? We’ll also be announcing more news of your line-up each week. From fairground rides and activities to your favourite SU resident DJs to headline artists performing on the Festival Stage, it’s going to be a magical night!
As part of a routine review of health and safety measures, the University informed us that we wouldn’t be able to use North Quad for this year’s event. We have worked hard to adjust the sitemap and ensure we can still provide an outstanding Summer Ball experience, including a revamped Founder’s Square with a covered tent area that will provide more of a festival feel (and some much-welcomed shelter in the event of any rain).
