Royal Holloway Students’ Union is delighted to announce the appointment of Tony Logan as Chief Executive Officer.

Tony, who joins us after four years as Deputy CEO at King's College London Students' Union, commences his role today, Monday 25 September 2023.

Boasting 28 years of leadership and management experience, Tony has acquired an extensive range of skills and experience across a range of demanding operational and strategic roles across the private, third and HE sectors.

Speaking of the appointment, RHSU President Hannah Hockin said: "We are delighted Tony has started his role here at Royal Holloway Students' Union.

"Tony is an experienced senior leader in the sector, having previously been Interim CEO at Greenwich SU and Director of Commercial Services at Kent Union.

"We look forward to working with him in an exciting year for RHSU as we start work on our new strategic plan and refocus our efforts to provide outstanding experiences for our members."

Tony leaves a lasting legacy at King's after using his vast experience to lead the Union's commercial operations to a healthy surplus after historic losses. On the membership side, he re-imagined student voice and representation through a strategic partnership agreement. This resulted in the second-highest jump in NSS question 25 (How well does the students' union (association or guild) represent students' academic interests?) scores for London universities.

Speaking on his appointment, Tony said: “I’m delighted to be joining Royal Holloway Students’ Union as Chief Executive Officer.

“Having worked in Students’ Unions and the Higher Education sector across the last 11 years, I have found them transformative and exciting places to work. I’ve enjoyed working with many talented Officers and staff teams who are passionate about improving academic and co-curricular experience for current and future students.

“I’m very much looking forward to working with Officers, students, and staff across RHSU and the University to shape our new strategy, ensuring our services and programmes meet the ever-changing needs of our members, whilst also articulating the positive impact of the Students’ Union across our wide range of stakeholders.”

Tony will be tasked with driving the Union forward and leading on the next iteration of its strategic plan, with the current edition What’s Next III? coming to an end in 2024.
