This Women's History Month we asked you to anonymously nominate your female friends, coursemates, or housemates who you think deserve to be recognised for going above and beyond on campus.

You responded with some lovely words for lots of the women on campus.  We've put them all together for you to read to round off this Women's History Month.

The Nominees

Gauri Wagle

Gauri has been recognised for being kind, understanding, patient!

Mahsa Taei 

Mahsa is a single parent who, in spite of so much adversity and hardship, has achieved so much and managed to study for a postgraduate degree in clinical psychology.

Aran Pascual, Representation and Democracy Coordinator at Royal Holloway's Students' Union

Aran has been recognised for all of the hard work she has put into creating the new constitution, and for being so considerate and fostering a sense of community among students. She is truly wonderful and a delight to work with!

Michelle Bentley, Reader in International Relations

Michelle's students decided to nominate her for her incredibly empowering course 'War and Security'. One of her students wrote that: "Prior to taking this module, I felt very out of place as a women within this field. Michelle has not only highlighted the relevance of feminist theory in International Relations, but has also greatly inspired me within my studies and beyond. Michelle deserves to be celebrated for her contribution to the university and her students!

Xanthe Bradford

A soft spoken, big hearted individual, Xanthe is a very clever, and extremely hard working student.

Dilara Scholz, Visiting Tutor and PhD Student

Dilara's students wanted to recognise her incredible support as a tutor of women's history. Her lessons are important, motivating and empowering; she has always offers invaluable advice, making her tutorship a major highlight this year. She is a major credit to Royal Holloway's History department and her students are extremely grateful for all of the effor she puts in!

Rosie Pople, 2nd Year Pyschology undergraduate student and Competitive Swimming Captain

Rosie has been an amazing swimming coach throughout the year, showing kindness to everyone in every way. Thank you Rosie!

Meera Saravan, Politics Student

Meera has been incredible to work alongside this year at PIRSoc. She has gone above and beyond in ensuring that the society continues to enrich the lives of students. Her kindness, passion, and dedication to the society has resulted in a highly successful year of events throughout the year whether these be career focused, socials, or fundraising. Well done Meera! Your hard work does not go unnoticed <3.

Niamh Payne, Social Media Coordinator at Royal Holloway Students' Union

I haven't known Niamh for long for I feel like she's been at RHSU for as long as I have! Niamh brings so much energy to the office, and is such a lovely presence. She should be praised for her dress sense alone! So happy to be working with Niamh!

Molly Hanning, Politics Student

Molly is always demonstrating kindness and wants the best for everyone around her, she is working on incredible projects such as Academics Against Assault and is a trailblazer in her field!
