Candidate for VP Education

I have created a 4-stage model to address the education system in Royal Holloway, University of London:

1. ONLINE EDUCATION: The shift of transmission of information from face to face to online was a new development. As a VP, I plan on ensuring that students around the globe receive the best quality of information provided to them by the faculty online and establishing a long term education plan vis a vis pandemic ( Covid ).

2. AVAILIBILITY OF LIBRARY RESOURCES ONLINE: The library usage also acquired a new status in the form of online portal. As a VP, I will work to ensure every student receives as many resources available online to facilitate in their coursework ranging from projects, lab reports and dissertations.

3. IMPROVING THE ACCESS TO MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH SERVICES: A good state of mind is not only the secret to success but also to a peaceful life. With the onset of the pandemic, there was a sharp rise in the anxiety levels among university students which not only interfered with the motivation, concentration, social interaction but also instilled fear among students about their future and job prospective. As a VP, I will work towards increasing counselling services among students and also encourage support groups among different courses to ensure that motivation is maintained and it does not hinder with the college education. Physical health plays an equal importance ensuring a healthy state of mind. I will be ensuring that the students who are in need are provided with correct information on

4. IMPROVING THE CAREER SERVICES: The end goal of every student is to ensure that they get a job and getting a job is a herculean task. I would like to inculcate the syllabus of the assessments used by companies as an optional module where they are taught and trained specifically to deal with the questions posed by the companies during the assessments. Due to course work and university life, many of us are unable to focus on these tests, hence it is important to create a refreshers course which can be used as a way to teach the students and specialise in modules such as maths and English.
