Candidate for VP Education

A student union election for the education position is an opportunity to select a candidate who will prioritize the interests of students and work to improve the educational experience. As a candidate for this position, I pledge to:

1. Advocate for accessible and affordable education for all students, regardless of their financial or social background.
2. Collaborate with faculty and administration to ensure that academic programs meet the needs of students and provide relevant and practical skills for future employment.
3.  Foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus, and actively work to eliminate systemic barriers to education.
4. Engage with student groups and individuals to understand their needs and concerns, and work to address these issues through effective communication and collaboration.
5. Encourage student engagement in academic and extra-curricular activities that support personal and academic growth.
6. Support initiatives that improve mental health and well-being of students, recognizing that good mental health is essential to academic success.
7. Continually seek feedback from students and the broader community to improve the quality of education and the overall student experience.
