Candidate for School of Life Sciences & the Environment

University years are a time of our lives consisting of many new experiences and opportunities, but most of all it is the beginning of our future professional path, one of the most important decisions we will make. Our education is one of our most valuable investments, and therefore it is vital that our needs, aspirations and rights are fully met and fulfilled. This is the reason why I want to be elected as a school rep, because I am confident that I will be a competent mediator between the school and the students, making sure the best quality of education is brought to every one of us. I want to reassure that there will be the outmost representativity within the school for students from every culture, background, academic performance and gender. Therefore, shall I be elected, I will try my best to represent the school in the best way by highlighting the needs, urgent matters and opinions of students of every department so that each student can reach the fullest academic potential, feel heard and respected. Being an international student myself, I comprehend how challenging it is to study in a foreign country, and everything that comes with that. Therefore, I will insist so that all the struggles of international students are taken into consideration during the meetings and as many of their needs as possible are met. Furthermore, we all know how stressful this past year has been for everyone. Every one of us had to go through different levels of struggle, and I want to make sure that all those things are taken into account by the school and each department specifically, which also means trying as much as possible to find equally effective alternatives in the event of the extension of online education. I am also open to any suggestions and desires of all students and I really aim to put all my effort and energy in that. Give me the chance to represent each one of your unique voices.
