Cheerleading

Wellbeing

It is evident that cheerleading has very strong wellbeing support due to their constant posts on social media from their wellbeing officer, Celina. Especially recognizing taboo subjects such as body confidence and body image, depression, and night out safety. Involvement in sports across campus.

Cheer has also shown continued involvement in sports across campus such as doing a skill swap with netball.

Socials

They have also had a variety of socials such as bowling and charity bingo. These socials have also been jointed with other sports such as American football and netball. Therefore, developing their connections and opening up the sport.

Social Media Presence

All the points we have put forward are evident due to their social media pages such as Instagram. Their Instagram feed looks amazing and is very informative to members and other clubs.

In conclusion, we feel that Cheer have outdone themselves this year and have gone above and beyond to support their members as well as other groups. They are the perfect role models and brilliant inspiration to other clubs!

Netball

Netball have had a fantastic season this year! Entering 5 teams into competitions is no easy feat. Yet alone all 5 teams having great wins throughout the year. They have also been very busy with skill swaps with other teams like cheerleading. They also have one of the best social media accounts that we have seen in all our years here. They also do lots of work for charity and are very good at encouraging other groups into supporting the causes they stand for!

Women’s Football

This year Women’s football and American football have collaborated on more events, charities, and socials. They have taken exemplarily lead on most of the events and have helped us organize joint socials. They have been in constant discussion with us over social media and have included other societies and sports within these charity events and socials. We believe they have helped in a sense of showing exemplarily role models to other students and clubs through these charity events and fundraising that they have done this year. They have shown major support at our home games as well which is very much appreciated. Fundraising, socials, and events have been tough this year with the uncertainty of COVID and lots of new members, this hasn’t seem to have been and issue for them as all the events we have done with them have run smoothly and been very enjoyable.
