Medicine

Medicine Live ft. Shanghai Blues

Join us for our weekly live music night on campus, where we'll be joined by SHANGHAI BLUES, who have been busy making a name for themselves all over London for their soaring choruses and Catfish and The Bottlemen-esque anthemic indie.

Either side of the live set, you can enjoy some banging tunes from our Insanity Radio DJ and show off your musical skills as we host a free-for-all jam session.

Although having only formed under two years ago, Shanghai Blues have already travelled the length and breadth of the UK and continue to sell out shows to their insatiable fanbase. Known for their raucous live stage presence, they have already made a name for themselves with slots at The Great Escape (Alt) and City Sound Project alongside tour dates with Glass Caves, Theme Park, Palace, The Rifles, JUDAS and Y.O.U.N.G. with their shows drawing the attention of Music Week, The Evening Standard and NME.

The band have already featured on several tastemaker playlists including The Indie List, Hot New Bands and Fresh Finds, plus support at Apple Music (Best Of The Week), Abbie McCarthy (BBC Introducing, Radio 1). CLASH, Madison Square Gardens, It’s All Indie, Punktastic, When The Horn Blows and a swathe of other blogs have also recently lent their voices to the band’s lengthy list of early champions.

Their hugely diverse array of influence comes from artists including Jimi Hendrix, Led Zepplin, BB King, RHCP, J Hus, Kanye West, Dinosaur Pile Up, The Strokes and Mooseblood.

“We like getting drunk and playing loud - not enough people do that these days.” We'll drink to that.
