Free Legal Advice: Book Your Appointment

At the Students' Union we're not able to give legal advice, however we do have a trained lawyer that comes in on a monthly basis, who can provide a free legal appointment (of up to 20 minutes) and will look at your case to give you advice.

The service is available to all students and staff working at Royal Holloway. The initial appointment is free and will give you a good sense of whether or not you should continue to explore the case. If you then wish to continue, the lawyer will give you a great rate only for our students so that you can fight your case.

Due to the nature of the deal and the work which it can contain the lawyer cannot advise or represent on any cases that are against the Union or the College themselves as this would be a conflict of interest for the service. For the same reason, the lawyer cannot advise students regarding cases against other students enrolled in the University. If your case type is deemed to have a conflict of interest, an advisor can signpost you to alternative services.

Please be aware that in order to speak to the lawyer, you will need to book an apointment in advance. All you need to do is email advice@su.rhul.ac.uk to see when our next available slot is.

Please see the Advice Centre page for our Privacy Notice and Confidentiality Policy.
