Flawless ft. Lady Leshurr

None other than Lady Leshurr joins us this week for Flawless!

Lady Leshurr

Melesha O'Garro, known as Lady Leshurr, is a British rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer known for her Queen's Speech series of freestyles.

Lady Leshurr made her recorded debut in the early 2000s, with the first of numerous mixtapes - her primary format - and has since refined her witty and sometimes high-speed wordplay while drawing from U.K. garage and grime. After she fended off multiple labels that dangled offers with too many artistic compromises, O'Garro reached a broader audience on her own in 2015, when the one-take video for the fourth episode in her "Queen's Speech" series went viral with plays numbering in the tens of millions. Her subsequent freestyle, Queen's Speech 5, was called "brilliant" and "2015's crowning freestyle" by Spin. In 2021, she entered the Channel 4 series The Celebrity Circle for Stand Up to Cancer, catfishing as Big Narstie, and won. She also competed in the thirteenth series of Dancing on Ice, where she reached the semi-final.

Bringing guests to the SU

Please note that due to COVID-19 safety measures, no guests are currently allowed within the Union Venue.

Cashless campus

All of our venues are cashless and will remain so in the 2021/22 academic year. We are aware that when starting university, some of you will not yet have a bank account and if you’re an international student, you may not have a UK bank account when you arrive in the UK to study. To facilitate this, all students will be able to top up their College card account before arriving on campus, using Upay.

Accessibility

As your Students' Union, we're keen to promote equality of opportunity for people with disabilities and to take the necessary steps to meet their requirements - that's why we've ensured that everything we do is accessible to as many of you as possible.

All of our venues are wheelchair accessible via shallow ramps; you can find out more about our venues and view our AccessAble pages by heading to our Accessibility page.

If you or someone you know requires access to special facilities, please email venues@su.rhul.ac.uk and our friendly team will do their best to meet your needs.
