Wristband collection

If you have purchased a Freshers' Festival wristband, you can collect it from the Union Helpdesk (on the first floor of the Students’ Union Building) between 12:00-20:00 any day from Friday 16 September onwards.

If you have purchased an individual event ticket, you can exchange your e-ticket for a wristband on the day of the event at the ‘Wristband Exchange’. This will take place in the following location:

Union Helpdesk - Midday to 8pm

Please note that all ticket holders need to be present when exchanging for a wristband and wristbands must be placed on your arm at the time of collection. We cannot refund any wristbands that are lost between collection and the event start so please ensure you look after them.

Bringing guests to the SU

During Freshers' Festival (16-25 September 2022), no guest tickets will be available for events taking place at the Union Venue. This is to ensure we can maximise the number of new students experiencing our events. Guests are welcome to attend Freshers' Ball on Saturday 24 September, in addition to all events taking place within Medicine and The Packhorse.

Admission

Tickets will guarantee you entry to the event until 11pm, after this time entry will be dependent on venue capacity until last entry at midnight.

Identification

It's a requirement to have your College Card with you when you attend Students' Union events and we'll ask to see this when you enter our venues. However, during the first two weeks of term, we know that the process and production of College Cards can take time which may mean you don't have yours for the start of Freshers' Festival.

That's why from 16 September - 30 September we will accept a couple of alternatives that prove your student status:

  • Proof of enrolment by producing your Campus Connect Profile Page on your phone
    or
  • An official Royal Holloway letter which shows your College Card Number and Full Name

Alongside this, you'll need to bring photographic proof of age ID (driving licence, passport, PASS card) which will be cross-referenced against your enrolment information.

Event tickets

All tickets purchased online (via the RHSU website or StudentLink app) are automatically assigned to your personal account and then accessed on the door by swiping your College card.

All sales are final, and refunds are not available on tickets once they have been purchased (including duplicates or purchases made in error, tickets bought for the wrong event or non-attendance due to personal choice, illness or injury).

Transfers

Your student College card and tickets are not transferrable – i.e. you cannot lend it to anyone else to get into the venue.

Accessibility

As your Students' Union, we're keen to promote equality of opportunity for people with disabilities and to take the necessary steps to meet their requirements - that's why we've ensured that everything we do is accessible to as many of you as possible.

All of our venues are wheelchair accessible via shallow ramps; you can find out more about our venues and view our AccessAble pages by heading to our Accessibility page.

If you or someone you know requires access to special facilities, please email venues@su.rhul.ac.uk and our friendly team will do their best to meet your needs.
