Freshers' Fair

One of the biggest events on the calendar, Freshers' Fair is your chance to come and check out what you can get involved in for the upcoming year.

With a wide range of clubs, societies and media groups, as well as local charities and external organisations here for you to chat to, there really is something for everyone. As an added bonus, you're guaranteed to leave with a bunch of freebies too, including pizza from our Freshers' Festival sponsor Domino's!

Ticket information

Entry is free, simply head down to the Sports Centre - you won't want to miss it!

This is an alcohol-free event.

Entry requirements

Simply turn up with your College Card.

To speed up entry, please download a QR code reader app in advance of the event.

Bring your own bag

We're trying to do our bit to look after the planet, so we won't be giving out any goody bags at this event as we have done in previous years. Some of our external stallholders will be giving out freebies so if you can, please bring along your own bag (something like a bag for life will be ideal) to ensure you haven't got your hands full.

Accessibility

Access Hour

We recognise that a loud, busy environment can be a bit overwhelming for some people. To ensure that Freshers' Fair is accessible to all, we're hosting an 'Access Hour' for the first hour of this event (10am-11am). During this hour, we'll let fewer people in and keep the music turned off to ensure a quieter atmosphere for those who need it. In order to make sure that we can make this space accessible, only those with a free ticket will be able to access the Fair at this time. You can 'purchase' this ticket up until 7pm on Monday 19 September. The tickets are limited so please ensure only to buy one if required.

Fast Track

All students signed up to the DNS service will be offered a Fast Track ticket. This means you can skip the queue and head straight to the front. The DNS team will be reaching out to those students with instructions on how to take this offer up.

Time Out Space

Behind the marquee of the fair will be a space with some chairs, covered by a gazebo. If you need a quiet moment or a break from the hustle and bustle of the fair, then speak to any member of SU staff (wearing a grey SU polo shirt) and they can direct you to this space. Then feel free to rejoin the Fair once you are ready.

If you have any specific accessibility requirements, please email lauren.parker@su.rhul.ac.uk.
