Hey guys, this week (10-16 October) I am launching #HealthyU. This is a campaign which will span the entire year with four weeks dedicated to components of a healthy lifestyle. The first of which is exercise and getting active.

The idea of these weeks are to show you how making the smallest changes to your everyday routines can help improve your wellbeing and study (two of the most important aspects of your time here at Royal Holloway). This week we want to encourage you to get active and get involved in what our Students’ Union and Active Lifestyle and Sport team have to offer – the best bit, loads of it is free to try.

Head to the events section of our website to see everything that’s going on this week, there is something for everyone, be that taking some time away from your studies to join a free yoga session, or taking a walk around campus to complete our Super Steps Challenge.

Some of you will see myself and Lauren (Active Lifestyle Officer) in your lectures to let you know more about how you can get involved and who knows, we might have some fun exercises for you too.

We want you to get involved on social media too. Get your #HealthyU Twibbon and let us know what you get involved in with the official #HealthyU hashtag. We want to see your exercise photos on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter!

Look out for more blog posts throughout the week, and make sure to join the event on Facebook ‘#HealthyU Exercise Week’ to keep up to date with all the activities.
