This Wednesday (9 November) over 550 people around campus will be wearing pink headbands to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer!
I just wanted to say a big thank you to the 24 sports clubs and societies that are taking part in #PinkWednesday! It's not just our student groups getting involved, our Students' Union staff and UnionShop staff will also be showing off their deadbands on Wednesday and supporting the cause.
It's not too late to make a difference! If you wish to make a donation there will be buckets at the Helpdesk on Tuesday all day.
With £2.52 from each donation going to Breast Cancer Awareness we stand to raise a phenomenal £1400! Thank you to Jess O’Suillivan for organising this event and to everyone taking part! I can’t wait to see you working, rehearsing, studying and competing in your pink headbands on Wednesday because “On Wednesdays we wear Pink!”
