The Students’ Union is looking for student opinions on the look and feel of the Union as we begin a process of rebranding.

Your Students’ Union is constantly changing and evolving in order to best meet the needs of the student body. Over the past six months we have launched our new Strategic Plan – setting out our aims for the next four years – and we’re currently in the process of introducing a new constitution which will have its second General Meeting pass on Tuesday 8 March.

Student feedback was central to both of these major pieces of work and will once again form the core of our rebrand project beginning with a student survey that will run from today (7 March) through to 21 March.

It’s a simple nine question survey that should only take a couple of minutes to complete. This is running concurrently to a number of other engagement activities we’re conducting around the rebrand including face-to-face discussions with sabbatical officers and student focus groups.

All this data will be added into research we’ve already conducted as part of our strategic plan development to give us a rounded picture of the student body and how they feel about the Students’ Union.

Following the conclusion of this research our appointed creative agency, Let’s Dance, will create three design routes which will be presented to the student body in Term 3. This consultation will help shape the final Students’ Union brand, ensuring that students are involved every step along the way.

Our aim is to launch the new SU brand in the summer, giving us the opportunity to remodel the current Union building while causing the least amount of disruption to students. This will also include the launch of a new look website with much improved navigation, making it easier for you to find key content that matters to you.
