BUCS Round-Up - 17/10/18

It's time for your weekly BUCS round-up where VP Sport, Dom Brown, gives you the low down on how our Bears got on in their clashes with other universities up and down the country.

The second week of fixtures did not host the same favourable weather that we enjoyed last week. Besides the postponed women’s hockey match, the rest of our bears, (home and away) donned the green and purple to compete.

Highlights included a dominant and fierce performance from the Women’s Rugby first team who turned over a determined Chichester team.  Men’s Rugby first and Netball first team also came out victorious in closely contested away games and the late start of the Volleyball Men’s first team did not deter them from claiming victory against Brunel.

Dominate and destroy: The Women's Rugby first team showcased their prowess, coming back victorious against University of Chichester's Women's Rugby team

Win or lose, the clubs have started this year fantastically, if you’re still awaiting that first win then keep working hard together in trainings and in games and those victories will come. Those on winning streaks, enjoy these times and work even harder to ensure it continues. I hope you are finding the information desk (outside of the gym) helpful for game day.

We love coming down to watch and help out with issues that arise so that we can get them sorted as soon as possible. If there is anything more that we can be doing on game day for home and away teams then please come and let us know!

Well done everyone and keep your eyes peeled for the big BUCS Wednesday promotion coming soon!
