Work is now finally underway on our brand new storage centre. The new project, officially titled ‘Storage Inn’, will pay homage to our great and sadly fallen, former pub.

What's happening?

After discovering a frankly disturbing amount of asbestos in the walls (don’t worry, it's all safely contained), work has been delayed for a few weeks while we riddled the building of all evidence of dangerous materials from the walls. Once all this is cleared, the builders will be able to really get started on transforming our dilapidated and abandoned little pub, into a storage centre fit for royalty.

The new storage facility will be a huge asset to our student groups who have been struggling for years with a lack of storage space on campus. This will allow them to house all of the equipment they need to effectively run their activities. Having dedicated space on campus means that students can be sure that equipment they have worked hard to purchase for their groups is secure and safe from damage.

For those of you who remember it, you will probably have fond memories of Stumble Inn’s homely and rustic, if not a little dated, wooden décor. If you do fall into this category of the 'ageing Stumble Inn fan', you will almost certainly be pleased to know that our venues team will be restoring some of the old wooden planks from the bar to build a new bar kiosk for The Packhorse. The legacy of Stumble Inn will live on!
