It's competition time - you and a group of your friends could be up on the Festival Stage to open this year's Summer Ball in front of over 3000 people!
You get up on stage with your mates, hit a giant gong and lead the singalong to Toto's 'Africa' as thousands of well-dressed students, staff and friends go wild for the confetti and lasers that mark the greatest Summer Ball opening in Royal Holloway history.
We appreciate that sounds like the start of a crazy dream but it could become a reality.

We're hosting a competition looking to bestow this privilege to an individual (and a small group of their friends) who can prove themselves worthy!
What's the deal?
You'll get to head onto Festival Stage with your pals and open up the biggest event of the year with the coveted role of 'gong hitter'. You'll also need to get the crowd hyped up as we get 'Africa' to reverberate around Founder's Quad in Massaoke style - we really can't wait to hear that! You'll be the talk of campus and it's fair to say it will make it a pretty memorable occasion for you. What's not to love?!
How do I enter?
All you need to do is film a short clip of yourself singing 'Africa' and post it online. Upload to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter - we're not fussy. Just make sure you include #RHSummer in your submission so we don't miss it.
