Freshers' Festival On A Budget

Freshers’ Festival is a very important time for a student, providing an excellent opportunity to meet a lot of other people that you’ll be sharing your journey at university with. However, we understand that with so many events potentially comes a lot of spending. With that in mind, we want to let you know that regardless of your budget there are tons of opportunities for you to get involved with and have an awesome time!

Asides from our headline acts and some of our club nights, you’ll be happy to hear that most of the Freshers’ Festival events are actually free! We’ve gathered this information and have put together different itineraries for three different types of budget – which you can obviously mix and match depending on your personal preference.

The first is with a budget of £50 for the whole duration of Freshers’ Festival, the second one is £25, and finally there is an entirely free itinerary!

£50 Freshers’ Festival

This itinerary has a variety of club nights, but don’t forget that there are plenty of daytime and alcohol-free events that you can find in the other two schedules and add them to this one.

£25 Freshers’ Festival

For only £25, you’ll be able to enjoy an incredible Freshers’ Festival. In this itinerary, you’ll find anything from club nights, some proper British pub fun, and plenty of daytime events.

Free Freshers’ Festival

It’s hard to believe, but you can have loads of fun and go to amazing events for a total amount of… (drumroll) ZERO pounds! The schedule even includes some of the most popular club nights of the year, along with events from the famous Give It A Go programme and our most beloved pub, The Packhorse. You don’t need to spend a single penny to make the best out of your first days as a fresher.

It’s really important for us that you look after yourself during Freshers’ Festival, and for the rest of your time at university. To try to take some stress off your shoulders, we will always have fun and great opportunities for you that are completely free to join, so that you don’t have to worry about how much money you’re spending.

But if this is something that is making you nervous, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our Advice Centre, where our advisors will give you free and confidential support and advice.
