Great news, you can still get your deposit back as long as it’s been less than three months since your tenancy ended. If it’s been over three months, then you won’t be able to get your deposit back, but you can still report them and leave reviews. Just ask for a housing appointment and we’ll guide you from there. Make sure you get in touch with us if you think you’ve been unfairly charged. However, for future reference, speak to the Advice Centre a month before your check-out date and ask for the latest version of the Leaving Guide, which will help you through every step of the way.
It’s really important that every student is aware of who they’re dealing with when they sign a contract, so it would be great if you could find the agency that has caused you trouble online and leave a review on their page. Hopefully this will help a lot of other students with the same problems.
