Give It A Go: Term Two Events Launch

Already buzzing to come back to campus after Christmas and keen to get involved with a range of fun activities and events outside of your studies? Well look no further as we introduce your Give It A Go events for term two.

Term one was an absolute blast as you experienced a wide range of events encompassing everything from free yoga classes and Disney movie nights, to sushi making classes and pumpkin carving. And of course, we even had the ever popular Pets as Therapy, making a return for you to forget about your stresses and meet the fluffy doggos in our SU main hall.

Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie, culture vulture, sports fanatic or just love getting creative, you’ll be spoilt for choice once again in the new year.

Remind me what Give It A Go is all about

Give It A Go is a programme designed for everyone. A chance to try something new, learn a skill, meet more people or simply have a whole lot of fun! With a year-round programme of activities, Give It A Go is your best bet for new experiences.

We caught up with your VP Societies and Media, Holly Hughes, who gives us her thoughts as to why this programme is so great, and tells you why you should make checking out our events page a priority.

“In term one we held so many incredible Give It A Go events, from inflatable laser tag to ice skating and movie afternoons. If you missed out, want to develop a skill or get involved with something you’ve never tried before, then make sure to join in with the plethora of Give It A Go events happening in term two! So many of the sessions are free too, so if money is tight, there’s no reason to miss out on some awesome events.”

Sounds awesome, how do I get involved?

Any student from Royal Holloway can jump straight into the action. Simply head over to our events page, where you can check out the full list of events for term two, including a number of activities taking place over Refreshers week.
