The Students’ Union has launched a member's disciplinary investigation into an offensive social media post by a club member.
The Students’ Union is aware of an offensive social media post involving the Royal Holloway Rowing Club. The club’s committee have initiated an internal inquiry into the matter, taking action to remove the content and have apologised on behalf of the club. But due to the serious nature of the incident, a member’s disciplinary investigation has been launched by the Union under Byelaw L of the constitution.
The SU will be unable to make any further statements while this investigation is in progress.
