Statement: Student Group Suspension

Following an allegation of racist, homophobic, ableist and aggressive behaviour by a number of spectators at a sports club match at Royal Holloway on Wednesday 9 February, the Students’ Union President, Henn Warwick, has suspended a sports club pending a formal investigation under Byelaw L (Members’ Disciplinary Procedure) of the Students’ Union’s constitution.

Following an allegation of racist, homophobic, ableist and aggressive behaviour by a number of spectators at a sports club match at Royal Holloway on Wednesday 9 February, the Students’ Union President, Henn Warwick, has suspended a sports club pending a formal investigation under Byelaw L (Members’ Disciplinary Procedure) of the Students’ Union’s constitution.

This suspension extends out to all training, matches, socials and other related events such as attendance at Colours Ball.

Due to the serious nature of this allegation, we have self-reported to the relevant national bodies and to the University.
