Staying on Campus over Christmas?

At the Students’ Union, we’re all too aware of the financial and mental health struggles you may be facing due to the cost of living crisis. As officer lead on the SU’s campaigning in this area, your VP Education Shrey has been working with the University and local council on providing more support to students in financial hardship.

Foodbank Vouchers for Students

I have also been working with Runnymede Borough Council to ensure students staying in the area over Christmas have access to free food if they need it.

If you're unable to afford food, you are eligible for foodbank vouchers. You simply need to email me at vpeducation@su.rhul.ac.uk or the University's Student Wellbeing team at wellbeing@royalholloway.ac.uk by Wednesday 14 December. If you're unable to go to the foodbank due to disabilities or any other reason please email me so I can request delivery for you.

If you're in need after this date, reach out to Egham Town Ward Councillor Sian Williams by calling 01932838383 or emailing cllr.sian.williams@runnymede.gov.uk.

Free Christmas Lunch

If you or anyone you know is staying in the area over Christmas, St John's Church is offering a free lunch on 25 December at The Easter Centre and everyone is welcome to join! All you need to do is book your place by phoning 01784 605400 or emailing office@stjohnsegham.com by 19 December. Please provide your name, contact details (phone and email), any allergies, and dietary requirements.
