Student Group Elections: Nominations Open

Nominations are officially open for 2020/21 committee positions - it's time to step forward and take your society, sports club or media outlet to the next level

Student Group Elections nominations are officially open!

Have you been part of a sports club, society or media outlet this year? Interested in the operations behind delivering core activity, events, competitions and much more? Want to make a change to how your group is run?

If the answer is yes, it's time to nominate yourself for a 2020/21 committee position in the Student Group Elections!

What do committee members do?

Lots! But in a nutshell, they play a key role in the running of our groups, making sure that they are inclusive, respectful and driven. They also look after the involvement of each group with other activities like fundraising and volunteering.

If you think you could help to take your group to the next level, now is the time to step forward.

Let's do this

What positions are open?

Because of the unique makeup of our clubs and societies, there are far too many positions to list here. Instead, the positions that are up for election can be found on our website by scrolling to the bottom of your student group web page and clicking ‘Post List’.

How do I nominate myself?

To nominate yourself, all you have to do is head over to the Student Group Elections page - click ‘Stand’, complete the information, and submit your nomination.

Nominations will close at 12pm (midday) on Friday 1 May.

Please ensure you nominate yourself ahead of the deadline, to ensure any issues that may arise in the nominations process can be settled by the Student Opportunities team.

If you have any questions around this process, feel free to drop us an email.
