After last year’s success, we are super excited to be bringing you Student Voice Conference for 2023!

We’ve sat down and read every idea and with the Conference just around the corner, we're pleased to share the topics that will be covered!

What came out of Speak Week?

Firstly, what is Speak Week? It’s an opportunity for all students to provide feedback on the changes that they want to see at Royal Holloway. Last month, we asked you one big question.

‘What one change would you like to see at Royal Holloway?’

Through our website, Instagram, and in-person drop box, you submitted a grand total of 248 ideas. We’ve now taken the time to analyse all of the submissions and have identified some common themes among them. So, what were they?

  • Students’ Union Services
  • Campus Facilities
  • Student Support Services

What’s actually making it to the conference?

Student Voice Conference (Monday 20 – Friday 24 February)

We’ll also take your top ideas to build workshops that both inform you about the topic and then facilitate a discussion to bring all of your thoughts together to identify solutions and to move forward with creating change.

Monday 20 February – Student Support Services with Shrijeet Shrey (VP Education)

Tuesday 21 February – Campus Facilities with Hannah Hockin (VP Societies & Sport)

Wednesday 22 February – Students, Universities, and the Climate Crisis: What Can We Do?, a panel discussion with Julie Sanders (Principal), Maia Jarvis (President), Enactus Society, and People and Planet

Friday 24 February – Students' Union Services with Maia Jarvis (President)

All activities that we carry out as part of the Student Voice Conference are open to ALL students. Whether you’re an academic rep, Collective convenor, member of a student group, media group, or none of the above. This conference is for all of you and we encourage you to take part in any way that you can.
