The 2017/18 academic year marked the introduction of a brand new funding stream for all of our ratified groups (not inclusive of groups ratified within their first year) to access extra financial support to develop their offer based on a competitive application process.
In 2018/19 we are continuing this and looking to support even more groups! There is set criteria aligning with our strategic plan entitled ‘What’s Next?' 2, simple eligibility outlining what we will and won’t support, as well as some guideline factors. In total, we have £5000 to continually support groups throughout the year!
We have restructured how we can best support our newly ratified groups, both operationally and financially to help get you off the ground. With support from College, we have been able to secure ring-fenced funding of £5000 for our newly ratified groups. Part of this funding will go towards your initial £100 upon ratification, and £100 in your first full year, but the rest is to support your sustainability in facilitating your core activity. There is set criteria aligning with our strategic plan entitled ‘What’s Next?’ 2, simple eligibility outlining what we will and won’t support, as well as some guideline factors. Just a reminder, you can only apply for this fund if you were ratified in the last 12 months or this academic year! If you are a group who has existed longer than this, please apply for the Group Development Fund!
