Gospel Choir

We are Royal Holloway Gospel Choir. A welcoming choir open to anyone who shares our love of singing and passion for gospel music. We rehearse twice a week (with access to the chapel on our Thursday rehearsals) and are lucky enough to perform in amazing venues on campus and beyond. We have staged flash mobs, annual concerts, and recorded original songs. Off campus, our members have performed on The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent joining together with members of Gospel Choirs from all over the country. We have previously won the national competition University Gospel Choir of the Year (UGCY) and hope to enter more competitions this year.

Each year we go on tour and get to sing in venues around the world. Past destinations include, Amsterdam and Dinseyland Paris. This past year the choir went to Bruges, Belgium, and performed in Bruges Cathedral among other venues. 

We sing a large variety of music so there is always something for everyone. We aim to include popular music as well as traditional gospel music so no one will feel left out!

As well as performing, we organise numerous socials from theatre trips, to pyjama rehearsals and open mic nights and many more. We pride ourselves on being a fun, yet rewarding choir with confident, happy members. We have exciting plans for the choir and can’t wait to kick off another year of singing!
