Event schedule
Doors open at 7pm with the awards ceremony due to start at 8pm. Once the ceremony is over (around 10pm), we'll turn the Main Hall around for an afterparty with a DJ to keep you dancing until 1am.
Tickets
Tickets are available for all members of our societies and media outlets - you can also purchase an additional guest ticket to bring a +1 along (they don't need to be a Royal Holloway student so you're welcome to bring family and friends).
Save 20% with our group ticket where you can get buy four tickets and get an additional one free (making it just £24 per ticket).
Food and drink
You'll receive a welcome drink on arrival (prosecco or alcohol-free orange fizz) plus vouchers for two additional alcoholic or soft drinks. Choose from a glass of house wine, a can of Carlsberg, or any draught soft drink.
It's not a sit-down meal but we'll be serving up delicious canapé-style dishes for you to tuck into.

Pre-order drinks
We understand that groups may wish to buy some extra wine or soft drinks at the event if they have outstanding money in their group social accounts.
You may purchase the following drinks at the event and claim the expenses for these back from your Social account:

Submit an expense claim
You will need to obtain a copy of your receipt upon purchase for all drinks you are claiming for and submit this to Freshdesk, following the usual expense claim process. We will reply to your ticket through Freshdesk to confirm if your request has been successful.
You can claim for a maximum of one extra drink per member attending. Please only request extra drinks if you know you have sufficient funds in your social account! Requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Price breakdown
Society Awards operates on a break-even budget where every pound of each ticket is allocated across the operating costs of the event, from booking the venue to engraving trophies. Here's a quick breakdown of each cost:
Venue, dinner and drinks - 40% (£12.00)
Entertainment and Tech - 6% (£1.80)
Security and First Aid - 2% (£0.60)
Event Production, Décor and Awards - 30% (£9.00)
VAT and Contingency - 22% (£6.60)
