Bright Ideas

Welcome to Bright Ideas! This is the place where you can submit any idea that you think would improve life at Royal Holloway. Just submit the idea, wait for the votes to come in, and we’ll take it from there.

Whether it’s microwaves in Tommy’s Lounge, or STI testing on campus, every idea you send in matters to us.

Before you get started with submitting an idea, you should check out our new guide on writing a great idea. Don’t forget to have a look at what the current ideas are first – and why not vote on them while you’re at it! Make sure to check out how we’re doing on previously submitted ideas, and if you’ve got any questions, drop us an email.

Making great things happen

We realise that it's not possible for us to always be aware of the issues affecting you on a day-to-day basis. From those small quality of life improvements through to bigger wins for everyone, sometimes it can be hard to find a place to have your say. That's why Bright Ideas exists. It's your opportunity to let us know where we should focus our attention so that we can continue to make student life better at Royal Holloway.

Easier Tap Water Access at SU/Medicine

    Current
    • Events
Have a bar member preparing big cups with tap water always ready to grab from a specific point at the bar at SU and Medicine on club nights with a dedicated sign to mark the spot. Encouraging and reminding people to stay hydrated while making water access as easy as possible by not having to wait in line.

Idea Moderation

Royal Holloway Students' Union values free speech and recognises that debate and lively discussion are important parts of any democratic organisation. With this in mind, we aim to moderate discussion on this platform only where absolutely necessary. If you are concerned about any posts on this site, please email voice@su.rhul.ac.uk.
