Congratulations on becoming an elected committee member in this year’s Student Group Elections! We hope you’re excited for the year ahead where you'll gain valuable experience and set the direction for your student group over the next 12 months. We're looking forward to working with you and seeing the great things you go on to achieve with your groups!

What is student group training all about?

On Thursday 25 and Friday 26 May, we will be holding some invaluable Student Group Training sessions, where you will receive the information you need to get through the summer as a committee and prepare for the beginning of Term One. These sessions will introduce you to the Student Opportunities team, who will explain how to help run your groups, whether that be setting your memberships and keeping on top of your finances, managing your fixtures, putting on events, and how to spend your group funds. Some of the sessions are mandatory for certain roles, and all of the sessions should be attended by at least one representative of your committee. We will then follow up in the autumn term with some refreshers as well some more in-depth sessions for Term One and beyond.

Sessions will be delivered in person in EWD-104, and recorded so that the content is available online for future reference.
