International Week.

19 - 25 November

Royal Holloway is a diverse campus, with students coming from a huge variety of backgrounds, cultures, and faiths. We want to take this week to celebrate that diversity, and to take a moment to appreciate both our own cultures, and the cultures of those around us. It's a week where we can come together, enjoy, remember, and celebrate everything we love about the multicultural society we're so lucky to be a part of.

Events

Dancing to Jazz Taster Session: 19th November 6pm - 7pm; Windsor 103; Take a trip down to Royal Holloway's veritable New Orleans, with trumpets, spectator shoes, and smooth, smooth jazz. A taster session open to all abilities.

Ballet Taster Session: 19th November 9pm - 10pm; Windsor 103; A free ballet taster session for all abilities.

Toast: Represent Your Country: 19th November 10pm - 2am; Medicine; It's our legendary value for money night out! This week, we've got a special night where we celebrate the diversity we have at Royal Holloway.

Market Day: 20th November 10am - 4pm; Students' Union; It's Market Day every Tuesday at the SU, complete with fruit and veg, and delicious foods for lunch.

Global Café: 20th November 4pm - 6pm; Tommy's Lounge, Students' Union; Come and join fellow international students for a relaxed sit down in a warm and friendly environment.

Ballroom Taster Class: 20th November 6pm - 7pm; Medicine; Free taster session for beginners.

International Week Movie Night: 20th November 7:30pm - 10pm; Moore Annexe 034; A free film night to celebrate International Week

Language and Culture Club: 21st November 2pm - 4pm; EWD Event Space, Library Atrium; Join our societies as they introduce you to language and culture from across the globe.

Remembering the First World War: Questions of Faith and Morality: 21st November 6:15pm - 7:15pm; Founder's Chapel; Founder's Chapel will be hosting a series of speakers who will be exploring the intricacies of the First World War in relation to faith.

Bracelet Making: 22nd November 11am - 1pm; Tommy's Lounge, Students' Union; Come and make your own bracelet in the colours of your country's flag!

Mindful Meditation: 23rd November 1:30pm - 2:30pm; Founder's Chapel; Founder's Chapel will be hosting a free mindfulness session for all to take part in.

Contemporary Dance Taster Session: 23rd November 6pm - 7pm; Moore Annexe 34; A free taster session for beginners, focusing on contemporary dance.

Quiz Night: International Week Special: 25th November 8pm - 10pm; The Packhorse; Who said the days of pen and paper are long gone? We sure don't think so. Come on down to our hand written quiz night as our quiz master brings you four rounds of questions and one picture round.
