Freshers' Fair: Advice Centre

What can the Advice Centre do for you?

The Advice Centre is a free and independent service for all students here at Royal Holloway. Our friendly, experienced and professional staff will provide a listening ear and offer general and specialist advice. We’re here to support you with a whole range of issues, big and small, and if we’re not the best people to help you with a particular issue, we’ll point you in the right direction.

  • An introduction to the Advice Centre with a Q&A session for each topic.
  • What happens if I’m in trouble? We'll touch on Halls misconduct, drugs, and community misconduct.
  • Why are so many people getting in trouble for plagiarism? We'll cover the main reasons why students face plagiarism allegations and give a brief insight into the investigation process and how we can help.
  • What if I’m not happy with stuff at uni? We'll talk you through the informal complaints process and give examples of how we've helped students in the past.
