Community Officer Elections

If you're interested in driving forward our Student Communities by coordinating activities, leading on campaigns and representing your community in all corners of university life, stand now to become a Community Officer!

Communities give underrepresented groups the best platform possible to have their voices heard on campus and beyond. The Community Officers lead their community through supporting Members and representing their members. We’re looking for Community Officers to represent all 10 inclusion and postgraduate communities.

To nominate yourself to become a Community Officer, you self-identify with the Community.

Nominations are now open and will close at 23:59 on Friday 8 May.

If you have any questions or you'd like a one-to-one chat with a member of staff about any of the roles, please get in touch at voice@su.rhul.ac.uk.

How to stand

Nominations will open on Friday 10 April at 10:00 and close on Friday 8 May at 23:59. To nominate yourself, all you have to do is click ‘Stand’, complete the information, and submit your nomination.

To be eligible to run in the election to become a Community Officer, you must make sure you self-define in your profile. Only full members of a Community (i.e. those who self-define into individual groups) are eligible to nominate themselves and/or vote. Check out the definitions of each Community to see if you are eligible. Regardless of how you identify, you can also sign up as a member of a Community to be kept up-to-date with anything that goes on in it!

All PGR and PGT students are automatically self-defined, but still need to sign up for membership to be informed of anything the Community Officers are up to!
