Community Cupboards Donation Drive

Celebrate the Harvest Festival and join the Voice Team and ALS for our first Community Cupboards Donation Drive of the academic year!

As you may know, Community Cupboards were launched last year as part of Priority 8. There are four pantry-style cupboards across campus where students can access free food and household essentials. These are located in The Lounge in the SU building, as well as the Windsor, Wettons and Shilling Student Lounges. The cupboards are stocked by the SU, the SU Shop and the University.

During the Harvest Festival this year on the 27 October, the Student Voice Team will be collaborating with ALS in running a food donation drive. All donations will be added to the community cupboards which are accessible across campus and all students can access a variety of essential items for free.

If you are unsure on what to donate, don’t worry! Some items you can donate include Pasta, noodles, soup, cooking sauces, tuna, sweetcorn, potato, peas, beans, canned tomatoes, cereal boxes, toothpaste, soap, toilet roll. etc.

Student Communities that donate will have a ‘We donated to the Community Cupboards’ icon added to their webpage.
