FAQs

What ID do I need to bring with me?

Please bring your college card and age ID.

I've changed my mind or can no longer attend. Can I get a refund/transfer my ticket?

All tickets once sold are non-refundable in all circumstances except where the event is cancelled by RHSU. You may be able to transfer your ticket to another student by emailing giveitago@su.rhul.ac.uk at least 3 working days before the event with the full name of the student you wish to transfer to. This will be at the discretion of the Events & Give It A Go Coordinator, and will not be authorised until an email has been sent to you confirming this.

What happens if it rains?

Assume the trip will go ahead unless we tell you otherwise (via social media). We'll cancel the trip/event if adverse weather conditions could risk the safety of it. A full refund and/or options to reschedule will become available shortly after. The presence of rain, wind or unpleasant weather conditions will not automatically entitle participants to a refund.

I've bought a ticket for a friend. Do I need to sign them in?

No, please arrive at the event with your friend and ensure they have age ID with them.

What if I'm late?

Students must arrive on time to the meeting point or the transport will leave without them. This is the case both leaving and returning. If you're not going to make the transport on time, you will need to call 07939 360180 and speak to the event leader who will make the final decision. No refund will be issued if you miss the transport.

Should I take expensive or sentimental belongings with me?

We advise against you taking expensive or sentimental belongings on to these trips/events. RHSU cannot be held liable or responsible for any lost property.

What if I misbehave?

We're pretty laid back in the SU, but all participants must observe the authority of the event leader and follow all reasonable instructions. Our staff and guides are there to help. Failure to adhere to instructions given by RHSU staff and guides may trigger the SU's disciplinary procedure, which can be found here.

I've got a great idea for a trip/event. Who should I tell?

Please email giveitago@su.rhul.ac.uk with as much detail as possible.

How do I make a complaint about an event I went on?

Please email all comments to giveitago@su.rhul.ac.uk

Will there be photography/video taken during an event?

Filming, photography and broadcasting may take place during events organised by Royal Holloway Students' Union. All persons at these events give their express consent to the use of their actual or simulated likeness and voice in connection with the production, exploitation and advertising of the event without compensation or credit. Many of these images are used for promotional purposes such as appearing on the Students' Union website and social media channels. If you do not wish to be included in any photographs and would like your photo/footage removed please contact marketing@su.rhul.ac.uk
