“Sweet Charity” is a technicolour 1960s Jazzy musical that follows the life and misadventures of hopeless romantic, Charity Hope Valentine, navigating through the world with the sole purpose of finding love.

About the venue

The SU Venue is a 1440-capacity nightclub that plays host to weekly Wednesday and Friday club nights, plus tons of amazing society performances throughout the year.

We’ve had some incredible artists performing over the years from Sigma and Nathan Dawe to Big Narstie and Becky Hill. It’s not just big club nights you’ll find here though as we also host loads of student group performances on our main stage.

During term time, the Union Venue is open every Wednesday and Friday for our weekly club nights. We occasionally host events on other nights - take a look at the Upcoming Events section for details.
