The Autumn Elections are here to find and elect Student Leader positions not filled in our Community Elections back in May 2026. Nominating yourself to become a student leader means that you will have a direct impact on student experience at Royal Holloway.
>>> Union Council Reps
The elected Sports and Society/Media Representative will be required to attend 5 compulsory Union Council meetings throughout the duration of the academic year, as well as attending relevant Policy Forums to meaningfully contribute feedback and student voice.
The two elected Reps will provide a key voice on behalf of all Sports and Society/Media members, as well as sharing their insight and knowledge around this area of the student experience.
Who can run?
To nominate yourself to become a Union Council Rep, you must be a current member of a society, sports club or media outlet.

If you're interested in driving forward our Student Communities by coordinating activities, leading on campaigns and representing your community in all corners of university life, stand now to become a Community Officer!
Communities give underrepresented groups the best platform possible to have their voices heard on campus and beyond. The Community Officers lead their community through supporting and representing their members.
We are looking for Students to nominate themselves to represent the PGR, PGT & Students of Faith Communities as these roles remain unfilled. To find out more about our Inclusion and Postgraduate Communities, click here.
Who can run?
To nominate yourself to become a Community Officer, you must self-identify with the Community.
>>> Department Reps
Each academic department has a Department Rep who will advocate for the academic interests of students at a department-level throughout the academic year. This is a part-time voluntary role working closely with the Academic Communities Coordinator, Course Reps and the Faculty Rep on gathering feedback and implementing positive change through attending Staff-Student Action Meetings and working with key departmental staff. This is a new role for the 26/27 academic year which will build on the work of our Course Reps and provide more opportunities for you to get involved and be part of the changes you want to see.
Who can run?
To nominate yourself to become a Department Rep, you must belong to the corresponding Department.

London Academic Community is the first student society at Royal Holloway’s Central London Campus created to bring together postgraduates across master programmes at Bedford Square.
Who can run?
To nominate yourself to become a Committee Member, you must study on the London Campus.

Head to the Autumn Elections section of our Elections webpage. There will be an option to nominate yourself and upload a 400-word manifesto. Please be aware that the nominations will appear as ‘pending’ until voting opens on Tuesday 20 October 2026.
