Archaeology

We are a multidiscliplinary group aiming to create an environment where students of all subjects can come together to learn more about the archaeological world around us. We welcome those interested in everything from field archaeology to museums to archives and conservation. We also welcome those with interests in all time periods!

Archaeology Society is the perfect place to learn more about the subject, meet people with similar interests and keep up to date with archaeological news. We are also a university partner with the Classical Association, which means you can get a discounted membership with the CA as a member of the society.

Memberships

Membership is £2.50 for the year 2026/27, and includes access to all events unless stated otherwise.

We aim to meet every two weeks for either an academic or casual social. Follow our Instagram to keep up to date on when events are taking place and whether they are ticketed!

Autumn Elections 2026

This election will fill positions for our remaining Community Officers, who represent underrepresented groups of students on campus, and our remaining Department Reps, who will work alongside the VP Education to support academic representation. This election will also fill any remaining Student Group positions and introduce Union Council to the student body, with students electing their representatives.
