- About Us -

Introducing... Pit Band Society 26/27! We are a new SU society at Royal Holloway, University of London offering performance, social, and networking opportunities to instrumentalist musicians with a passion for musical theatre!

Throughout the 26/27 academic year, we will aim to:

Rehearse and perform musical theatre repertoire
Facilitate workshops with industry professionals
Host socials and networking events
Advertise professional development opportunities
Fundraise for a variety of music-related charities

Whilst our society is primarily by and for instrumental musicians to offer focussed opportunities in this famously complex industry, we absolutely welcome musical theatre enthusiasts of any discipline to come along and find out more about pit band-ing, with the potential for featured vocalists and further networking opportunities for performers and creatives alike! We hope you will join us as the founding cohort of Royal Holloway's new Pit Band Society! 🎶

Autumn Elections 2026

This election will fill positions for our remaining Community Officers, who represent underrepresented groups of students on campus, and our remaining Department Reps, who will work alongside the VP Education to support academic representation. This election will also fill any remaining Student Group positions and introduce Union Council to the student body, with students electing their representatives.
