Rotaract

About us

We are a student-led community service society. This means we support projects and voluntary action which help our fellow students and our neighbours.

We are hands on. In previous years, we have fundraised for national and international causes including Children in Need and Purple4Polio, planted a flower meadow, baked triple chocolate CHUNK cookies, sent student volunteers to Peru and helped to teach English to refugees and STEM skills to children - whilst developing soft skills sought after by employers.

We make friends and we network. We work with local charities in Staines, as well as network with 1.2 million Rotarians worldwide as a chartered Rotaract club.

Be yourself, be a friend, believe in doing good. This is our motto we share when we do extraordinary things through service to our community in a spirit of fun and fellowship. If you want to develop yourself whilst helping others, join us!

Membership

We would like a membership donation of £5. The membership goes towards purchasing essential personal protection equipment for socially distanced community service projects and the cost of an induction ceremony into Rotary.

Autumn Elections 2026

This election will fill positions for our remaining Community Officers, who represent underrepresented groups of students on campus, and our remaining Department Reps, who will work alongside the VP Education to support academic representation. This election will also fill any remaining Student Group positions and introduce Union Council to the student body, with students electing their representatives.
