About us
Insanity Radio 103.2 FM is North Surrey's local radio station. We exist to curate great local content like entertainment and news, and to do good in the local community. Operating as part of Royal Holloway Students' Union, we're open to anyone, regardless of their background or experience.
Insanity believes that anyone can do radio and we'll give you all the necessary training to have your very own show on the airwaves. If you'd rather not be live we've got loads of exciting opportunities in production, including a podcast project to help you and your friends create awesome content!
We are a strong team, who work hard but also have a lot of fun together with regular socials and events. Whether it's a tricky tech problem, or just something you'd like to know more about - our board members are always there to lend a helping hand.
Membership
Our membership fees are £30 per year for student members. This can either be paid in full for the whole year, or paid per term:
- Term 1: £27
- Terms 2 and 3 Top up of £3
For associate members (community members and alumni) the fee is a single payment of £37.
Events and Activities
Each year we put on a ton of fun activities to get involved in! As a community radio station, it's also important that we bring the station to the streets and interact with our listeners. Some of the events we're offering this year are:
- Regular socials such as drinks in Tommys and movie nights.
- Broadcasting and commentating at Varsity.
- Outside broadcasts etc.
- Hopefully an SU night!
- Student Radio Convention 2022 (a great place for networking!)
- Alumni panels
- I Heart Student Radio Awards
