About us

Royal Holloway Motorsport is the fastest sports club in the RHUL Student’s Union.

We welcome everyone with an interest in motorsport, and also those who either want to get into motorsport and even to compete. We participate in the British Universities Karting Championship (BUKC) which is open to everyone who wants to take part, no matter how much experience you have. We also now participate in the newly established British University Sim Racing community (BUSR), where we participate in everything from casual games to full on competitive leagues.

Whether you want to be a competitive driver for the uni, watch races with other enthusiasts, or just want to look at fast cars, Motorsport is the club for you!

SOCIALS

We'll be hosting a whole load of socials through the year, from race watching socials to sillier stuff like RC Car races and pub crawls. Even if you don't want to be in the karting teams there is still plenty to take part in!

Membership

We currently offer a Standard Membership of £6 for Term One, or £9 for the year. Standard Membership will offer you entry to all race watch socials we hold, which will typically be held on campus. 

The BUKC Competitive Top-Up options will be for our drivers competing in the BUKC. Please do not buy this until you know for certain that you will be competing for us in the BUKC. The price is race by race and is partially subsidised by the club, so may be subject to change (hopefully down rather than up!). We're aware this is a large cost, but unfortunately Motorsport is quite expensive, if you need any help with paying for these costs, check out the Access Fund set up by the SU! Events and Activities

• Race watching socials: From our flagship Formula 1 socials to regional racing cups, we can host any race social our members ask for, providing there is interest.
• Sim Racing: We will be participating in the BUSR, in both social and competitive capacities. This is open to all skill levels, from the casual arcade racer to full on competitive sim racing - we have something for everyone!
• Socials: Whilst we are a club focused on motorsport, we are also just a community of people who happen to share a common interest. We aim to host a variety of activities, from trips to the pub to F1 driver spotting at Top Golf Surrey, we have plenty going on off track.
• Karting: The club's main competitive league is the BUKC. Entry is open to all skill levels from Rookies to the Premier Class. Even if you have no experience in a kart, there is always something for you. We'll also be aiming to go social karting at a Teamsport or Daytona Sandown at least twice a term!
