About us
The LGBTQ+ Society is a space for Royal Holloway’s queer community on campus. We aim to bring you a fun and engaging society, with loads of social events and provide a space to be you! We’re open to all members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies.
Based on your feedback we plan to do more collab events with societies, more weekend socials, and are working with the SU to improve queer club nights on campus.
Membership
Our Full Year Membership gets you access to all our weekly, events, as well as discounted or free access to paid LGBTQ+ events. We are also introducing the social membership, for if you just want to join on weekends or for study sessions (or just to get a discount in Imagine on drinks and boba /silly). The social membership is included in the full year membership!
Full Year Membership: £7.00
Social Membership: £3.00
Membership fees help us with the cost of running events, ensuring we will be able to carry out all the fun activities we have planned this year. You’ll get the opportunity to meet tons of other like-minded individuals in LGBTQ+ society, and create many memories to share with all your friends <3.
RHUL Transition Fund Information
As you may have noticed there is a "RHUL Transition Fund Donation" button is a £1 donation that can be added to the basked multiple times, allowing you to customise your donation. This will raise money to help Transgender Royal Holloway University Students cover costs of privately transitioning in the UK, and accessing gender affirming care.
The money raised will be donated across transgender individuals who are in the LGBTQ+ Society. If you'd like to apply to added to our donation list please fill in the Google Form linked at the top of this section in blue text. Please feel free to message use with any questions or queeries (I'm so sorry, actually reach out /gen).
Weekly Schedule And Events!!!
We post reminders for all our events on our socials including Discord, Instagram, and WhatsApp. We aim to be consistant with our events, but changes may occur, so always check before you leave.
Wednesdays:
- What: Weekly Events - planned events posted at beginning of term!
- Where: Windsor building (wheelchair accessible)
- When: Usually after 7pm-10pm
Weekends (and Holidays):
- What: Socials - for specific member or whole community
- Where: Imagine or Egham Pride Hub
- Time: 2pm-4pm
