Students' Union, first floor

A bit about the role

VP Societies & Media is the head of RHSU’s three media outlets and is responsible for leading on the development of the Union’s societies provision.

As an officer trustee, the position sits on the Union’s Board of Trustees and will have oversight of the strategy and objectives of the Students’ Union.

A word from Sophia

Hi everyone! I’m Sophia and I’ll be your Vice President Societies and Media for 2019/20!

I am really excited to represent you all and help develop all the amazing societies and media outlets on campus, that I had the pleasure to be incredibly involved with over my four years of studying here.

This year one of my main aims is to explore ways that we can support disadvantaged students so that everyone can get involved in student groups! In addition to this, I will be continuing the lobbying efforts for better space on campus – and don’t forget that we have a home Varsity to get our teeth into, and a new Socs Ball that I want to make fresh!

My biggest advice is to make the most of the opportunities which are presented to you, keep up to date via SU social media and the website; and finally, don’t stress about the little things!

Feel free to drop me an email whenever you have a question, or just say hi if you see me on campus!

All the best,

Phia xx
