Winter Blowout ft. Nathan Dawe

You've worked hard and now it's time to party hard! Nathan Dawe will be serving up the best tunes for the biggest blowout this side of the M25. We'll be transforming the SU into a winter wonderland for one night only.

To avoid huge queues and disappointment on the night, we decided to release all of the remaining tickets in advance of the event. These have now sold out and there will be no more tickets released.

Nathan Dawe

Nathan Dawe is an English DJ and producer. He is best known for his 2020 single "Lighter" featuring KSI, which reached number 3 on the UK Singles Chart.

Nathan began DJing when he was nine years old, describing himself as more of a 'selector' with an innate ability to read a crowd. He built a loyal following by releasing mixes on Soundcloud. Rather than the usual genre-specific mixes being put out, he released mash-up multi-genre mixes covering everything from house music to hip-hop, reggae, bassline and pop. Nathan was the first DJ without a radio show or hit single to sell out his own concert at the O2.

His debut single, "Cheatin'", based on an uncredited sample of Deborah Cox's "It's Over Now", was released in August 2018 and peaked at number 94 on the UK Singles Chart. In May 2019, he released the single "Repeat After Me", featuring vocals from Melissa Steel. He released the single "Flowers" in October 2019, featuring vocals from garage legend Malika and credited vocals from rapper Jaykae. Nathan's 'Flowers' peaked at number 12 on the UK Singles Chart. On 24 July 2020, his song "Lighter", which he made in collaboration with British YouTuber KSI and singer Ella Henderson, was released. After the chart success in the UK, he was signed to Warner/Chappell Music.

What to do with your e-ticket

Your College Card will automatically have your ticket added to it once payment is completed online. You simply need to turn up at the event with your College Card and photographic proof of age ID (driving licence, passport, PASS card or government ID) or a signing in wristband (obtained via 'fast track entry' as detailed below).

You'll also need to show proof of one of the below, preferably via the NHS COVID Pass:

DOUBLE VACCINATION - you received your second COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 whole days ago (or 14 whole days after one dose of the Janssen vaccine).

or

NEGATIVE TEST - a negative lateral flow or PCR test taken in the 48 hours prior to the event.

or

NATURAL IMMUNITY - evidenced by a positive PCR test result for COVID-19, lasting for 180 days from the date of the positive test and following completion of the self-isolation period.

If you live, or were vaccinated in, an overseas country, we will also be accepting EU (EU Digital COVID Certificate) and USA (CDC card) vaccine certificates.

NHS COVID Pass

An NHS COVID Pass shows your coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination details or test results.

You can get a digital version using the NHS App or using the online NHS COVID Pass service. You can download it as a PDF or get it sent to you in an email.

Please note, the COVID-19 vaccination card that you receive after your vaccine is not considered acceptable proof of vaccination.

Find out more

If you are unable to use the NHS COVID Pass, or either of the additional certificates listed above, you will need to provide proof of a negative lateral flow test, reported and demonstrated via a text message or email from the NHS self-report tool. The test needs to be taken in the 48 hours prior to the event.

Lateral flow testing

The on-campus, asymptomatic testing site is now closed but you can still take a lateral flow test (LFT) by ordering home test kits from the NHS. If you're living in halls, you can collect your ordered test kits from Founder's West (FW40) from 10:00-13:00 or 13:30-18:00. We strongly encourage you to take two LFTs a week to help protect our campus community.

Fast track entry

If you want fast track entry on the night you can exchange your e-ticket for a wristband on the day of the event at the ‘Wristband Exchange’. This will take place in the following location:

Union Helpdesk - Midday to 8pm

Please bring your College Card and photographic proof of age ID (driving licence, passport, PASS card or government ID), as well as proof of either double vaccination, a negative test, or natural immunity (as detailed above).

Please note that all ticket holders need to be present when exchanging for a wristband and wristbands must be placed on your arm at the time of collection.

We cannot refund any wristbands that are lost between collection and the event start so please ensure you look after them.

Transferring a ticket

Online tickets may be transferred to another individual at the following location on the day of the event:

Union Helpdesk - Midday to 8pm

The person whom you are transferring your ticket to must be present, have a valid ID and possess proof of either double vaccination, a negative test, or natural immunity as outlined above.

Cashless campus

All of our venues are cashless and will remain so in the 2021/22 academic year. We are aware that when starting university, some of you will not yet have a bank account and if you’re an international student, you may not have a UK bank account when you arrive in the UK to study. To facilitate this, all students will be able to top up their College Card account before arriving on campus, using Upay.

Accessibility

As your Students' Union, we're keen to promote equality of opportunity for people with disabilities and to take the necessary steps to meet their requirements - that's why we've ensured that everything we do is accessible to as many of you as possible.

All of our venues are wheelchair accessible via shallow ramps; you can find out more about our venues and view our AccessAble pages by heading to our Accessibility page.

If you or someone you know requires access to special facilities, please email venues@su.rhul.ac.uk and our friendly team will do their best to meet your needs.
