Uncovering Royal Holloway Stories

Join our resident archivist in this hands-on workshop to help uncover the stories of Black students and staff at Royal Holloway.

You will be asked to look through material from the University archives to identify sources which reveal insights into the history of black students at Royal Holloway and its predecessor institutions. While there is some knowledge of the contributions Black students and staff have made to the University throughout its history, there are gaps in our understanding.

This workshop is a pilot project to explore our student records and Royal Holloway magazine collections and gather further insight into the history of our institution.

The workshop is open to all, no previous archives experience is necessary!
